THE POWER OF MOVING THAT BODY!

Tonight, with the stress level high in my body, I just knew that I had to take myself out "for an airing"! I'm so glad I did!

Pain, stiffness, tension, tightness, and constricted breathing are mirrors, revealing how we allow our thoughts to obstruct our life force from flowing freely and easily through our bodies. I was having "one of those days", and no matter how much I wanted to do yoga, go to Santa Monica College track, jump rope, or some other variation on the theme, I could not seem to get a pocket of time to do that.

Finally, at 11:00 P.M., it happened! Time for me! There is an area in Santa Monica that comprises several long streets that are very spacious, are safe, are free of traffic at night, and have beautiful nighttime skies. I happily put on my walking/jogging shoes, my leggings, and my jacket (as the weather has been very brisk lately), jumped in my car, and drove to "my spot".

I got out of my car, and began walking briskly, beginning at my usual starting point. From one end to the other and back again, it takes about 20 minutes. I did one round of that along my usual street, and then walked over to the next block, doing the same "circuit" along the next parallel long row of streets, from one end to the other. As I walked, I started to naturally move and rotate my shoulders, first in one direction, and then the other. Next, my arms naturally raised up at my sides, like airplane wings, rotating first in one direction, and then in the other, making big, open circles. My breathing became slower and deeper, and I started to look up and gaze in wonder at the beautiful nighttime sky. This moment reminded me of why I left New York city back in 1993. I had been so starved for nature, and wanted easy accessibility to her.

The tension just seemed to drain out of me, and as I walked, spun my arms, and gazed up at the stars, a chant started to express itself with the words, "I am the daughter of the universe, and my birthright is boundless abundance. I am the daughter of the most high, and my inheritance is boundless abundance". Over and over, the words easily flowed from me, and I was enveloped with the feeling of a warm hug, the sky and stars surrounding me in their embrace.

I got back in my car, 40 minutes later, totally renewed, in an altered state of consciousness. Again, just another reminder that "Health Is An Inside Job"! Indeed, "life is an inside job"!

THE IMPORTANCE OF COLON HYDROTHERAPY

Colon hydrotherapy (or a colonic, as it is usually called) is a professional health service that can be extremely helpful to prevent disease, to prepare for a colonoscopy, to help with constipation, or for anyone with digestive issues.

Purified water is slowly and gently introduced into the colon, also known as the large intestine. Over the course of about 45 minutes, a lot of old fecal material, gas, and mucus are dissolved, broken up, and expelled from the body. Colon hydrotherapy is most effective done in a series (at least 3, up to 12 or more), because each colonic is literally "peeling away" another layer of old waste, kind of like the layers of an onion. The previous colonic is a sort of "pre-soak" for the next colonic session.

There are four major ways colon hydrotherapy can be extremely effective for health:

1) When the old waste is eliminated, you are no longer living with a "backed-up" sewage system that is literally leaking toxins into the bloodstream, polluting it. Transit time, which is the length of time between when we eat something, and when we eliminate it, should be between 12 - 18 hours. Ideally, we should be eliminating 2 - 3 times a day.

2) When old waste is hardened on the walls of the colon, it is like having an old pipe whose inner diameter is getting narrower and narrower because of old accumulations adhering to it's inner surfaces. That is why sometimes the size of the stool being eliminated is pencil-thin.

3) When the lining of the colon has hardened waste adhering to the walls, it interferes with the colon's "peristaltic action". The whole G.I. tract contracts and expands, in a motion known as "peristalsis", to move the food along in the digestive process, and then to expel it from the body in the form of a stool to be eliminated. Hardened feces on the walls prevents efficient peristalsis.

4) When there is a layer of waste on the walls of the colon, it interferes with the efficient absorption of nutrients into the cells and bloodstream. Removing that through colon hydrotherapy helps to restore and improve absorptive ability.

Combining colon hydrotherapy  with the use of superfoods, which are nutrient dense foods in the form of powders and liquids, greatly enhances the results. This is because digestion requires more energy than any other body function, so if energy is not being used for digestion, the body uses it to expel toxins, and to heal, re-balance, and repair itself..

We have a blueprint for perfect health inside of us. Using the powerful tools of detoxification, nutritional replenishment, and colon hydrotherapy, we can reclaim that birthright!

LAYING THE FOUNDATION: THE IMPORTANCE OF OUR BIOLOGICAL TERRAIN

If you are waging war against disease, you are fighting a losing battle! Why? Because, as Florence Nightingale said,

"There are no specific diseases; only specific disease conditions".

Health is an inside job, because whether we succumb to disease or maintain health, it is due to the internal environment in our bodies. It is predicated upon whether we have accumulated toxins in our cells and organs, congesting them, causing inflammation, and impeding their function. Our health is determined by the chemistry of the blood, and whether we are veering away from the alkalinity that our blood needs to maintain. It is influenced by our supply of minerals, vitamins, enzymes, essential oils and fatty acids, phytonutrients, and beneficial microflora in our digestive tract. The quality and types of proteins and carbohydrates that we ingest are crucial to our health. Our level of oxygen, or lack, thereof, can inhibit, or grow, cancer cells.

All of these factors comprise our "biological terrain". We have an inner landscape, much like the farmer, who needs to cultivate his/her land. Depending upon the conditions we create, knowingly or unknowingly, we will reap health or disease.

The days of feeling like vulnerable victims, at the mercy of viruses, bacteria, germs, cancer cells, and other pathogenic organisms that just randomly "jump into" our bodies, are gone! We realize that by consciously making choices every day to both cleanse and detoxify our bodies, as well as to nourish and replenish them, we become our own doctors. We create conditions that are unfavorable to destructive organisms; in essence, we become unfriendly hosts to disease. When we learn to cultivate and lovingly tend our "biological terrain", we will indeed experience "empowered health"!
